Truly wonderful place. I needed my hair colored last minute and Des was able to fit me in within an hour. She was incredibly patient when my hair took for forever to color because of how thick it is and even ended up staying late to finish it. Not only was she patient with me, but also with my 7 year old daughter I had with me. She was incredibly sweet to her. My hair looks fabulous. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!! Their prices are also very reasonable.
It's taken me a long time to find someone who I'm fully comfortable with cutting and coloring my hair. Most of my salon experiences are mediocre, I leave disappointed and throw my hair in a bun and cry about it. I've gotten used to disappointing haircuts, and mediocre talent at high prices. When I book my appointments at tropical tanning salon with Siearra I hang up the phone confident and looking forward to going in. I'm at the point where I could even go in and sit down and just ask her to do what she thinks would good. They have affordable prices, but on top of that they're always running great deals. Everyone there is very talented, and it's a pleasant atmosphere.
I'm a reporter, so my hair is very important. I used to drive 3.5 hours home every time I needed my hair until I let my friend finally convince me to give Des a shot. I haven't let anyone else touch my hair in the past year!
I've been into Tropical salon a couple times now And absolutely love it. The owner is such a friendly, inspirational person. She's someone you can go into and talk with for hours. Desi is amazing at haircuts and ombrays. She's done three of my sorority sisters hair now and it's turned out amazing every time. Hands down best place in town.
I had only one experience at Tropical tanning. Des cut, colored, and styled my hair. She knew I was nervous (due to previous experiences at other salons) but made me feel great and right at home! The environment is very relaxing and laid back. My overall experience was a 10!!
